Community Owner

The community owner is the core operator of a Webify community.

In Webify, the owner is usually the holder of the corresponding Community NFT. Whoever holds that NFT owns the core management, operation, and configuration rights.

How Owner Identity Is Acquired

Owner identity can come from:

  • Creating a community and minting Community NFT
  • Buying or receiving Community NFT from another user
  • Community ownership transfer
  • Future ownership allocation through platform/protocol mechanisms

When Community NFT changes hands, ownership should transfer accordingly.

Owner Permissions

Owner permissions can include:

  • Edit community title, description, and visuals
  • Configure post and knowledge-base categories
  • Appoint/remove admins
  • Set moderator permissions
  • Configure join rules
  • Configure membership and VIP models
  • Configure paid articles, columns, and chats
  • Configure community ads
  • Create internal NFT collections
  • Mint Membership NFT, VIP NFT, Reputation NFT, and event NFTs
  • Configure community revenue split
  • Transfer ownership

Owners are the first accountable role for long-term community operations.

Owner Revenue

Owner revenue should come from operation, not passive promises.

Potential sources:

  • Paid community entry
  • VIP memberships
  • Community share of paid content
  • Paid channels
  • Community ads
  • NFT minting
  • Events, courses, and services
  • Community asset appreciation

The stronger the community's content, members, creators, and partnerships, the stronger the owner's operating value.

Owner Responsibilities

Owners are not only asset holders. They are operators.

Key responsibilities:

  • Keep topic direction clear
  • Attract creators and experts
  • Manage admins and moderators
  • Maintain content quality
  • Handle violations and disputes
  • Protect member rights
  • Avoid misleading promotion and high-risk promises

If a community depends only on NFT speculation without real operations, long-term value will remain weak.

Long-Term Value of Great Owners

Strong owners can turn a community into:

  • A high-quality content network
  • A creator revenue marketplace
  • A project user community
  • A brand membership community
  • A DAO collaboration unit
  • A transferable digital community asset
