Webify Points

Webify Points is Webify's early ecosystem points system for recording and incentivizing effective user contribution.

Points are not Webify Token and do not represent fixed returns, redemption commitments, or investment rights. Their core role is to help Webify identify real users, effective content contribution, and early ecosystem participants.

Positioning of Points

Points record effective user actions inside Webify.

These actions include:

  • Sharing high-quality Web3 links.
  • Liking, commenting on, and bookmarking valuable content.
  • Reporting low-quality, duplicate, false, or risky links.
  • Inviting real users to Webify.
  • Participating in future topic community building.
  • Contributing to future knowledge bases, articles, columns, and governance tasks.

The value of Points does not come from trading. It comes from contribution records.

How Users Earn Points

Users can earn Points in multiple ways:

  • Registering and completing basic account actions.
  • Sharing valuable news, tools, projects, research articles, and links.
  • Liking, commenting on, and bookmarking quality content.
  • Reporting low-quality content, malicious links, and risky websites.
  • Inviting real users to Webify.
  • Participating in future community content building, tasks, and governance.

Webify does not encourage simple activity farming. The platform focuses more on whether actions create real value for information discovery, content quality, community building, and ecosystem governance.

Contribution Mining Mechanism

Webify currently uses an hourly Points release model.

User hourly Points = Hourly released Points x User contribution weight / Total contribution weight

Current rules include:

RuleValueDescription
Total supply1,000,000,000Points supply cap
Contribution mining10,000 / hourDistributed by contribution weight from sharing, likes, comments, and other actions
New user reward100Granted after registration
Invite reward300Granted after a successful invite
Invite contribution reward1,000 / hourDistributed to inviters based on invited users' contribution weights

What Counts as Effective Contribution

Effective contribution focuses on quality, not quantity.

Webify will identify:

  • Whether shared content has information value.
  • Whether comments advance discussion.
  • Whether bookmarks and likes come from real users.
  • Whether invited users actually participate.
  • Whether reports help platform governance.
  • Whether behavior helps long-term community building.

Low-quality spam, fake interaction, malicious invites, duplicated reposting, and phishing links should not be considered effective contribution.

Relationship Between Points and Communities

As Webify evolves from information sharing into topic communities, Points can gradually expand into community scenarios.

In the future, Points may record:

  • High-quality post contribution.
  • Knowledge base contribution.
  • Community governance participation.
  • Event and task completion.
  • Creator content contribution.
  • Early community member identity.

Points can become an important reference for identifying early contributors, core members, and high-quality users.

Relationship Between Points and Reputation

Points and reputation are not the same.

Points are better suited for recording behavioral contribution and early participation. Reputation focuses more on long-term trustworthiness, content quality, and community recognition.

Webify will combine Points, Reputation NFTs, Webify Profile, and on-chain data to form a more complete user contribution graph.

Relationship Between Points and Webify Token

Webify Points are functional points inside the Webify ecosystem. They are mainly used to record user contribution, identify effective behavior, support community rights, and power ecosystem incentives.

Webify Token is the ecosystem governance tool after Webify Protocol matures. It is mainly used for protocol governance, resource allocation, developer incentives, and long-term ecosystem collaboration.

Their positioning is different:

TypePositioningMain Role
PointsEcosystem functional pointsRecord contribution, identify users, support community incentives
Webify TokenEcosystem governance toolProtocol governance, resource allocation, ecosystem incentives

Risk Control and Anti-Abuse

To ensure Points reflect real contribution, Webify needs continuous risk control.

Possible risk control methods include:

  • Limiting low-quality repeated sharing.
  • Detecting fake interaction.
  • Identifying bulk accounts.
  • Filtering malicious invites.
  • Penalizing spam comments.
  • Handling phishing links and risky links.
  • Manually or automatically reviewing abnormal Points acquisition.

The goal of Points is to reward real contribution, not encourage farming.

Design Principles

Webify Points follow these principles:

  • Reward real contribution.
  • Encourage high-quality content.
  • Serve long-term community building.
  • Discourage farming and short-term speculation.
